Bred to be used for team penning, working cowhorse, reining, and cutting. This is a really nice mare. She stands at 15 hands and is gorgeous. Nice mover and ready to get started on cattle. SkyFire is a gorgeous, dark bay AQHA broodmare. She is not broke to ride but is proving herself as a broodmare. Her first foal is currently a successful NRHA reiner, with NRHA money earned, who is by Dry James (own son of Dry Doc). SkyFire is now bred to Duhons Quixote Joe, who is an own son of Colonel Duhon and out of a daughter of Doc Quixote. Duhons Quixote Joe has 43 ARHA points, earned in only 1 show!! He won the Iowa Breeders Cutting Futurity as a 3yo and is a finished cutter, as well as competing in/winning classes from ranch reining, ranch trail, ranch riding, working cow horse, etc.... Talk about VERSATILE!!!
The resulting foal of this cross should be able to do it all. SkyFire is a very pretty mover and a good sized mare as well, so crossed with the cow ability of Duhon, the foal should excel in almost any western performance event. SkyFire also has the possiblity of producing roan, as she has one roan parent and her full brother is a roan. You may get color!!
